Apresentamos agora as maneiras de pedir e explicar como chegar a algum lugar. Caso você tenha que pedir informações a alguém, inicie sua pergunta dizendo: excuse me (com licença). Observe as situações:

Situation 1

- Excuse me Sir, is there a good restaurant in town? (Senhor, com licença. Há um bom restaurante na cidade?)

- Yes, there are many good restaurants in town, but I think you should go to Mark's restaurant. It is a very clean place and the meals are delicious. (Sim, há vários restaurantes bons na cidade, mas aconselho você a ir no Restaurante do Mark. É um lugar limpo e as refeições são deliciosas.)

- How do I get there? (Como chego lá?)

- Take the Albert Street* heading towards the station. Then, go straight ahead for two blocks and turn left at Mineral Street, it'll be on your right. You can't miss it! (Pegue a Rua Alberto no sentido da estação. Siga reto por dois quarteirões e vire à esquerda na Rua Mineral, o restaurante fica à sua direita. Não tem erro.)

Situation 2

- Excuse me, is there a bank near to the hotel? (Com licença, há um banco perto do hotel?)

- Yes, there is. (Sim, há.)

- How do I get there? Is it really near from here? I ask because I'm in a hurry. (Como faço para chegar lá? O Banco fica mesmo perto? Pergunto porque estou com pressa.)

- It is ok, it is really near from here. Leaving your hotel, go ahead for one block and turn right at Golden Avenue. It is right next to a drugstore. (Está certo, o banco é bem perto daqui. Saindo do seu hotel, siga reto por um quarteirão e vire à direita na Avenida Dourada. O Banco é bem ao lado de uma farmácia.)

- You are welcome!

Situation 3

- Excuse me, I'd like to know if there is an interesting museum in town? (Com licença, eu gostaria de saber se há algum museu interessante na cidade?)

- Yes, there is a great museum here! (Sim, temos um grande museu aqui!)

- Is it easy to get there? (É fácil de chegar lá?)

- Yes, it is. Go ahead until you get to Silver Avenue, it is three blocks from here. You'll pass a high green building, it's right on the corner. I'm sure you'll find it! (É bem fácil. Vá reto até chegar na Avenida Prata, que fica a três quadras daqui. Você vai passar por um grande prédio verde, o museu é bem na esquina. Tenho certeza de que você vai encontrar!)
